Andy Caldwell Show Reminder

I'll be on at 6:00pm EST. Details here (scroll down to second feature).

Just What in Hell...

...did they think public reaction would be? [More]

We're the Only Ones Thin-Skinned Enough

Orlando police Chief Val Demings is threatening to sue one of her critics for creating a Web site that criticizes her performance. [More]
Here's the website she objects to. Looks pretty First Amendment-protected to me. Love the reward ad...

She was given a written censure for having her gun stolen from her vehicle (document hosted on the protest website). She says she takes full responsibility. What she doesn't say is if she made the taxpayers foot the bill to replace it. Someone who took full responsibility would not allow others to pay for her negligence. That's something only an "Only One" would do.

Should President Obama Push to Permanently Reinstate a Ban on Assault Weapons?

Go ahead and vote in the MSNBC poll. [More]

Then please take my sidebar poll--and tell your friends.

Terror in the Land of "Project Exile"

In a regional breakdown of potential terrorist threats, the report notes that Hampton Roads and the Richmond area each have two historically black universities. Although it doesn't cite them by name, the apparent reference is to Norfolk State University, Hampton University, Virginia State University in Petersburg and Virginia Union University in Richmond.

University-based student groups "are recognized as a radicalization node for almost every type of extremist group," the report says. [More]

More "Homegrown Terrorists" to justify "fusion center" budgets?

In a way, I can see Hampton U being singled out. What they promulgate is pretty terrifying.

Still, it wasn't supposed to be this way in Richmond.

We were promised.

And the Lee Paige "I'm the Only One Professional Enough" Award Finalists Are...

Port Orange, FL police officer Gerald Zito for "I'm the Only One Suspended Enough,"

and

Phoenix, AZ school resource officer Ray Granillo for "I'm the Only One Gate-Keeping Enough."

May I have the envelope, please...?

A Person of Interest

Investigators said Cartwright was not a war veteran, but Spooner said the Florida National Guard soldier was interested in militia movements and weapons training. [More]
Here we go...

A Coordinated Effort to Abuse

Hands Of [sic] My Guns! Gun Supporters Abuse Black Star News Editorial...

Now we are convinced these postings are being coordinated.
By the NRA?

No...

By GOA?

No...

Then by who?

Ohhh...the article he didn't link to featuring the comment he didn't post...

And funny--that doesn't even ask anybody to do anything.

Wrong again, Milton, which is hardly surprising. Maybe, just maybe a few of us are on guard and quite capable of acting independently to protect our rights.

Y'know, that's something to keep in mind.

And I'm not through with these guys. I was going to do another GRE piece today but felt the Hampton U shootings required a timely analysis.

Depending on what's happening in the world, I hope to "coordinate" some more "abuse" tomorrow.

That's how the folks who claim they're "speaking truth to empower" look on speaking truth to empower.

What Jimmy Carter Thinks of You

I have used weapons since I was big enough to carry one, and now own two handguns, four shotguns and three rifles, two with scopes. I use them carefully, for hunting game from our family woods and fields, and occasionally for hunting with my family and friends in other places. We cherish the right to own a gun and some of my hunting companions like to collect rare weapons. One of them is a superb craftsman who makes muzzle-loading rifles, one of which I displayed for four years in my private White House office.

But none of us wants to own an assault weapon, because we have no desire to kill policemen or go to a school or workplace to see how many victims we can accumulate before we are finally shot or take our own lives. [More]
Yeah, that's the only reason millions of us own semiautos. Because we're a bunch of psycho cop killers and deranged school/workplace shooters.

Insulting bastard.

Anybody think the fascist left isn't going to keep coming at us and at us and at us?

Careful in comments. As a former president, he is "entitled" to Secret Service protection, which includes investigating any statements that could be perceived as threatening to his safety--and his guys, that we're paying for, carry the real thing.

We're the Only Ones Patterned After Ourselves Enough

The FBI memorandum describes a pattern of corruption among a group of Philadelphia narcotics officers: false information used to get search warrants, planted evidence and perjured testimony, thefts of drugs, cash, and valuables from dealers. [More]
No doubt "just a few bad apples." Right?

Say, do you think this might explain why Philly "Only Ones" and the politicians they strong-arm for are trying to impose extra-special citizen disarmament edicts above and beyond what the state requires?

We're the Only Ones On Her Majesty's Secret Service Enough

A British agent left top secret information about covert operations on a bus in South America when she lost her handbag while on assignment.

The drugs liaison officer lost a computer memory stick said to contain a list of undercover agents’ names and details with more than five years of intelligence work. [More]
Cue the Bond theme...

And tell me the Serious Organised Crime Agency doesn't sound like a Monty Python skit. The way this "Only One" approaches serious organized crime, it may as well be.

Which reminds me: Did we ever figure out which BATFU "special" agent left her gun in the loo?

"No Questions Asked"

Police were questioning the man...[More]
I guess the "Authorized Journalist" missed the irony...?

Hampton University Shooting Highlights 'Effective' Gun Policy

Under Hampton's student code of conduct, your second item says: "To respect the dignity, feelings, worth, and values of others. Each member of the Hampton Family will respect one another and visitors as if they were guests in one's home. Therefore...to possess weapons such as knives or firearms...is strictly prohibited and is in direct violation of the Hampton University Code, on or off campus." Do you believe mandating a human being be defenseless respects his dignity, feelings and worth?

If he or she believes otherwise, do you believe such a mandate respects their values?

What's with "off campus"? Are you saying student gun owners will be expelled?

And how effective do you think this code was in ensuring these and future victims would be at a disadvantage to their assailant? [More]

Today's Gun Rights Examiner shows that "gun free zones" can be very effective--at giving attackers the advantage.

Also get the latest from my fellow GREs, plus find out how you can listen to my radio interview later today on The Andy Caldwell Show, where we'll be discussing a really dumb idea: Smart guns.
