We're the Only Ones Hoping for a Second Chance Enough

A federal prosecutor acknowledged yesterday that she withheld evidence that could have helped clear a defendant in a gun case but said it was an inadvertent mistake and implored the chief judge of the US District Court in Massachusetts not to impose sanctions that could derail her career. [More]
What, you mean like one of those "willful violations" you lot tried to "derail the careers" of a certain gun shop in Idaho over? Was anyone concerned about "derailing" David Olofson or Wayne Fincher's "careers"?

I just need to shut up now before I write something I'll regret.

We're the Only Ones Turned Around Enough

A federal drug agent who helped put more than a dozen local residents behind bars may soon face the same fate.

Lee M. Lucas, 41, was indicted by a federal grand jury Tuesday in Cleveland on 18 counts related to a 2005 local drug investigation dubbed Operation Turnaround. [More]
Maybe they can bunk him with the guys he set up?

I see the investigation is continuing. Any bets on whether Lucas was the "Only One" in on things?

Pursuing Happiness, Government-Style

U.S. Will Pay $2.6 Million to Train Chinese Prostitutes to Drink Responsibly on the Job [More]
Meanwhile, the Brits are using their plunder to rent pornos.

So what if it means you could miss a house payment or a utility bill or providing an advantage to your children? Master wants it for boner movies and drunken Chicom whores.

But what can we do about it? If we don't obey their strong-arm extortion demands and surrender the fruits of our labors and the time from our lives, they'll dispatch armed teams to kidnap or kill us. If we resist such assaults, initiated on their terms, and at the times and places of their choosing, we and those we love are likely to be exterminated.

And their propagandists will paint us as the terrorist extremists. They'll probably even get a quote from a relieved neighbor or two who had no idea they were living next door to someone with an...an arsenal...and that old "Authorized Journalist" standby, "thousands of rounds of ammunition."

Which may explain the naked contempt the rulers have for us, and why they dare treat so cavalierly that which they wrest from us at gunpoint.

A captain? So do you think he was the "Only One" doing it, or do you think he set the tone?

An Alert Response

[L]ast month, when a woman was raped and beaten by a stranger in the parking garage of a downtown Boston hotel, there were no mass e-mails, no press releases, no citywide alert...

"It really hit home," said Ken Ham, a member of the association's crime committee. "We really need to let people know." [More]
Why? So they can all head for the Sphinx when the warning alarm goes off?

We're the Only Ones in Your Mind Enough

What's in the mind of the officer may not be what's in the mind of the viewer"... [More]
Well, at least we know what was in the mind of the suspect: an "Only One's" boot.

A Question About Hugo Chavez

Why hasn't anyone dragged that ugly Marxist dog out into the street and hanged him from a lamp post? [More]

I guess maybe I'm overreacting. After all, he shares the same goal as many of our political leaders: getting "illegal guns" off the street.

I have another question...

UPDATE: Seems ol' Hugo's only opposed to rich men that aren't him...

Figures.

Because if You Don't We're Going to Hurt You

This is another flagged video, meaning you need to sign up to watch it. [More]

It's the tasing of the pastor we talked about earlier.

You WILL obey the state. Even if you're not doing anything to harm anyone. They simply cannot allow you to get away with disobeying. Because others might get the idea they can get away with it, and then where would we be?

As we've seen time and again, disregarding the law is the exclusive province of those who rule us. As an aside, I've seen some sites discussing this where the prevailing sentiment in comments would just sicken your heart.

Standing up for your rights, alone and outnumbered, is viewed as "asking for it," and when you get "it" for all to see, why it's better than a damn WWF cage match.

"Inspector X"

"When I was young, I worked for ATF."

"There was a movie I saw once starring Burt Lancaster (Valdez is Coming) wherein he was asked where he learned how to shoot. He said, 'When I was an Indian scout!'"

"He was then asked, 'When was that?'"

"He responded, 'Before I knew better.'"

"Same for me."

Today's Gun Rights Examiner column returns to yesterday...to an interview with a former ATF employee who regrets his past.

Also learn about the assault on private gun sales from Liberty Belles, read about the growing state firearm freedom movement from Montana Shooting Sports Association, and get the latest from my fellow GREs.

I trust I can count on my friends to share today's column link far and wide.

This Day in History: May 14

As the good of the Service depends in a very great Measure on a proper Choice of Officers, and the honour of a superior, as much upon the quality of his Subalterns, I have given you power to nominate yours, Subject to my disapprobation, from which, that no Inconvenience may arise to them or yourself, I must inform you, that I expect your Choice will fall upon Men of Integrity and unexceptionable Character.
