A Detroit Victim

The victim got out of his car, knocked out the other driver's window and began to pull the man out of the vehicle. The 29-year-old then shot at the 33-year-old, hitting him twice, Stephens said. The 29-year-old had a valid permit for the gun. [More]
Yeah, that sure sounds like a victim to me. Which must make the guy who defended himself the victimizer.

I'd say Christine MacDonald of The Detroit News is one "Authorized Journalist" who understands exactly what's expected of her.

UPDATE: Mack asks me in comments what I'm talking about, and says the word "victim" appears nowhere in the article.

That's probably because The Detroit News practices "Authorized Journalism," and doesn't feel compelled to issue corrections or retractions when it's so much easier just to change things and hope no one notices.

For the time being, you can still catch the original over at Google cache. After that's gone, all we'll have is this (click to enlarge):

About that Retraction

A retraction was demanded.

This is it?
[This story has been changed since it was first posted. It originally gave an innacurate description of how Gottlieb "refers to" Lautenberg.]
Wait a damn minute.

These people told the world:
Gottlieb refers to the Jewish Lautenberg as a "Zionist...gun hater."
Where the hell is their complete and specific online retraction--along with their profound apology?

What nasty people.

We're the Only Ones Rescued Enough

That's because County Fire-Rescue Capt. Edwin O'Berry helped stop an armed suspect who nearly beat a police officer to death. He stopped suspect Mauricio Cruz by shooting him. [More]
See, I'd like to think I, and everyone I know, would not hesitate to help a peace officer in need--and that we'd want to.

The problem is separating them out from the "Only Ones," who really ought to consider that in places like Chi-Town or DC or Virginia Tech, such an intervention is highly improbable thanks to policies they enforce. Not to mention the love some of them spread...

We're the Only Ones Marxist Enough

Battling with one of the world's highest murder rates, Venezuela on Wednesday crushed more than 30,000 guns seized from the streets during police raids this year. [More]
Because we all know the "Only Ones" who ought to be trusted with guns in Venezuela are Hugo Chavez's commie thugs.

Y'know, in this case, I have to agree with the Brady Campaign. I'm definitely "denigrating law enforcement" here.

We're the Only Ones Checking Enough

Erroll Southers, who was serving as an FBI special agent at the time of the censure, asked a co-worker's husband who worked for the San Diego Police Department to run a background check on his ex-wife's boyfriend. [More]
That sure makes him sound like a stalker, doesn't it? And sweetie's taste in men is a surprise?

Good thing he recognizes it was a "mistake" to abuse his awesome federal "Only One" powers for personal business, as he asks us to now endow him with even more.

Thing is, to me, a mistake is when I'm doing math and forget to carry the two...

Dopenhagen

Interesting date. I guess we should be grateful that they've told us their plans, and it won't be a sneak attack this time.

Just one thing: I'm part of "our planet." I don't recall authorizing any of these global demigods to "determine [my] fate."

And look who's helping sponsor the subversion, complete with ads:

But what the heck--I signed their petition. You should too.

I love some of the messages from petition signers that pop up on their global map:
Exterminating ignorance gives me hope.
Interesting choice there, "exterminating," eh?

And in the spirit of CUM ULLA SELLA IN PUGNO TABERNA, I also point out one that popped up from the Middle East:
Allah...Help us make our planet green gives me hope
Man, I sure wouldn't want any radical imams thinking I was blaspheming to help advance control of globalist infidels and American corporations over sovereignty in Islamic lands...

I also think a message to Coca Cola is in order (click image to enlarge):

The only way the hopes of Hopenhagen can happen is if treasonous American representatives sign off on it, and the government then imposes it on the rest of us under force of arms.

So could we objectively say that it is the official policy of the Coca Cola Company that their management would rather see Americans imprisoned or dead than non-compliant with enforceable global economy...uh..."climate" controls?

What Did SPLC Teach Oregon Police?

Interesting, considering recent headlines, that one group is conspicuously not listed as currently active...[More]

This Day in History: November 16

As large quantities of materials for cartridges have been issued, and a few cartridges returned to the Commissary of military stores; returns are to be made to morrow afternoon by each brigade of the number of cartridges in their possession. These returns are to shew the number in each regiment, how many are in the hands of the soldiers, and where the residue are deposited. [More]
