GRE Round Up for November 5

Here's the latest from my fellow GREs:

Liston Matthews/Knoxville:
Dave Workman/Seattle:
Kurt Hofmann/St. Louis:
Also check out these other Liberty-oriented Examiners:

Pricey

Pricey weapon perhaps used in weekend drive-by...

Butler has extensive knowledge of .223 rifles, especially those based on the AR-15 platform. [More]
I can't claim such expertise.

But even I know where the going price for one is two hundred bucks. In gas.

"Authorized Journalist" Curt Sprang, ABC News. Breathlessly parroting the government line instead of doing his own investigating since...hey, Curt, how long have you been at this now...?

We're the Only Ones Taking Notice Enough

The truck was parked along the National Mall near the National Air and Space Museum Wednesday afternoon, when an officer noticed something suspicious inside. [More]
Assuming "Only Ones" really don't have powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, just how is that possible?

We're the Only Ones Properly Labeled Enough

Officials in Wyoming want people to be on the lookout for a black box with white lettering that says "METH," after a deputy lost a stash used to train police dogs. [More]
No worries. Everything's under control:
Whalen says his office is taking action to make sure the mistake isn't repeated.
How? By making the moron who lost it wear a black shirt shirt with white lettering that says "STUPID"?

Just Kidding Revisited

Remember this?

Here's the latest.  The victim fails to see the humor.

Someone to watch over me.  You know, a bully thug with an "authoritah" complex.

[Updates via  several of you]

Call for Dismissal

Everybody knows "shall not be infringed" doesn't really mean that, but was instead a call for "experimentation." Why, the finest legal minds and oodles of precedent all agree. Besides, the petitioner didn't say the right incantation.  So there. [Read]

We're the Only Ones Unfamiliar Enough

Not being familiar with the Smith & Wesson Springfield .40-caliber handgun, although he said it was his personal gun that he also uses for work, "he thought if he pulled the trigger the magazine would seat properly," Glickauf told police. [More]
Doesn't he know that in order for that to work, you need to first be pointing it at your five-year-old?

We're the Only Ones Punished Enough

A city police officer has been suspended for five days after his arrest last weekend for allegedly waving a gun outside a restaurant in Newport, R.I. [More]
That'll teach him!

After all:
Silvia was arrested on two counts of felony assault and one count of carrying a gun while intoxicated after allegedly waving a .380 automatic Kel-Tac gun at two employees of Christie's restaurant at 14 Perry Mill Wharf early Sunday morning.
Newport Police Lt. William Fitzgerald said that, according to witnesses, the incident started after Silvia and his friend, Eric C. Santos, were found by two employees on the side patio after closing where Santos was urinating in a planter.
Damn "civilians" probably got insolent and deserved it.

The Mark 1 of the Beast

We just got done marveling at the price tag for his pending visit to India.  Read about what he took with him to the G-20 summit. 500 staff, 200 Secret Service personnel, 10 lords a-leaping...

For a guy who once voted against allowing his constituents to even have a gun for self defense, The One sure makes us take care of Number One, does he not?

Wonder why...

The First Big Test

Expect "the Republican leadership" to fail.  It will be a good indicator on their commitment to preserve the status quo, though, and not actually make any truly radical changes now that they're tapped into the power source. [Read]

Please...PLEASE prove me wrong.

Should 'insolence' be cause for losing guns?

What I expect is for someone who took an oath to the Constitution to understand that free citizens have a right to be where they want to be, that their right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, and that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.

That's what I expect. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column shows what you can expect when you don't properly demonstrate your obeisance to Philadelphia's finest.

You will respect their authoritah!
