We're #1!

I was checking stats and saw someone came here on this search term, and WarOnGuns was the first hit.

Resistance is Futile

The "B" in B. Todd must stand for "Borg," because you WILL be assimilated:

And THIS, NRA...

...is all the reason you need to give Wayne's "true champion of the Second Amendment" an "F," jackrabbits and shooting parks notwithstanding. [Read]

Trial begins for N.M. gun dealer family charged with illegal sales

A jury was selected and the prosecution and one defense attorney have given opening statements yesterday in the trial of the Reese family, gun store owners charged in an indictment with conspiracy, aiding and abetting smuggling of firearms, money laundering and making false statements to investigators. Reconvening today at 9 a.m. in the U.S. District Court in Las Cruces, N.M., a family spokesperson told Gun Rights Examiner that the other three defense attorneys for family members required to retain separate representation are making their opening statements today. Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes more than a family is on trial.

Are Police Above the Law?

Mark Roote puts some officials on notice that no one is, and they need to make sure of it. [Read]

This is exactly the type of activism leadership I'd love to see from everyone when they see an injustice they can do something about.  Alone, this will be easy to ignore. If a thousand of you followed suit, they'd crap theirs.

A Slight Delay

That return engagement with Lou Dobbs that Mike announced for this Friday has been set back to next Tuesday.   If you missed the first one, you can watch it here (presuming you didn't miss it on purpose). When it comes to network news programs, I won't count on it until I get same day confirmation, as they'll go with what's hot and bump everything else back or off altogether.

It works out better for me this way, because Friday nights are my preferred time to unwind.

Bad Advice, No Matter How You Slice It

Padova’s Pizza owner Robert Steven said that he has been robbed a number of times and said that he gives all his employees the same advice.

“My drivers are told to give them what they want and get out of there,” Steven said. [More]

To your credit, Mr. Steven, you didn't fire the guy like many would have, but I prefer the way your driver handled it.  That's because all too often, what they "want" can't be replaced.

Give 'em what they're asking for, instead.

Would you like hollow-points with that?

We're the Only Ones Presumptuous Enough?

Good intentions or not, they're not yours to dispense and they're not open for debate. [Read]

Thing is, this doesn't really strike me as a debate so much as the candidates stating their positions.   So that makes me wonder if one really said "the Second Amendment...gives the right to every citizen to keep and bear arms," or if that was just the "Authorized Journalist" adding his own bit of presumption.

A Pretty Meager Bounty, All Things Considered

$100,000 is nowhere near enough, guys... [Read]

You have no idea how scared these folks are.

The personal attacks and reprisals are "withering."

Even the ones who want to come forward out of a sense of doing the right thing don't believe they'll be protected if they do.

UPDATE: Longbow has some thoughts about this.

Bradys Endorse Stand Your Ground

As long as it involves "standing up to NRA bullies." [Read]

I'm sure giving in to the regressives will have them supporting you in droves now, right, Gerald McCormick?

What? They'll just take your concessions and then turn around and still tell everyone you're a right wing extremist?
