No Compromise

But that will be tomorrow’s “conversation,” won’t it? [More]
Russ Stewart has had a really well-reasoned op-ed published in the Duluth News Tribune.

WAR IS PEACE - FREEDOM IS SLAVERY - IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

And GUN BAN WOULD PROTECT MORE THAN 2,200 FIREARMS [More

Who's interferin'? We're takin' over.

Who is Jerry Thompson?

I can't seem to find anything out about the guy, and so far, he's not shown an inclination to come out of hiding.

Who is this Jerry Thompson?  If he's going to represent himself a a 2A-defending gun owner with credibility for influencing elections, you'd think there'd be some trace of him somewhere.

Especially with all the way he is now showing up all over the internet, including all the news stories featuring him, from USA Today (a Gannett paper, natch) to the Guardian in the UK.

So if he's going to have this much influence, don't you think maybe one of the "Authorized Journalists" so quick to share his name might be inclined, on behalf of their readers, to ask who the hell this guy is?

As a side note, were I an Ohio FFL and he walked into my shop, I'd tell him I didn't want his business and to get out.  And I'd also boycott any shop that knowingly sells to him after this, that is, assuming he's actually an active gun owner.

We're the Only Ones Serious Enough

They were very serious. They had the body armor and the guns. [More]
Well of course. That way, if you call them ignorant buckeyed thugs like they deserve, they can extract vengeance with impunity, not to mention think up a few charges if you survive the encounter.

Besides, what if it had been a marijuana sticker?

Are we really going to let the jackboots get away with going that route?

They already have, you know.

Because they're very serious.  And they have body armor and guns.

The Masks Keep Coming Off

According to the bill, "whoever intentionally sells, transports, or possesses any bullet that expands or flattens easily in the human body is guilty of a class H felony." [More]
Nikiya Harris, Mandela Barnes, Evan Goyke and Fred Kessler, eh...?

I guess in their cases, the headline is misleading, because they've never concealed their contempt for non-Marxists.   But it is interesting to see how the domestic enemies won't be satisfied until they get it all, and won't be satisfied then until they can wield that power unopposed and absolutely.

A Taxing Proposition

This is illustrative on two counts: First, it shows how the damned antis will attack on every front, everywhere, and leave no stone unturned in their undisguised contempt for free people who choose to exercise their right to keep and bear arms.  Second, it shows what mindless drones the traitoress Linda Sánchez has for supporting constituents, to back someone who squanders their resources on efforts like this that show she doesn't trust them, either. Pull!

I was going to ask if these were also available for the civilian market, but after seeing the price tag, I have to agree with Gilda here...

Opposed by Bloomberg

Mr. Hardy urges us to look at  "Debbie Halvorson, formerly rated A by NRA, and still a massive improvement over Jackson." [Read]

Thing is...

And the debate over what to do continues.

Good Letter

I don't give a damn about no "Only Ones" exemption -- matter of fact, that's the bill's only endearing feature, even (especially) if it was a screw-up. That said, these guys aren't just looking out for themselves here and do a fine job exposing the utter fraud Cuomo and his rubber-stampers pulled under the guise of necessity and emergency.  That the "progressives" think that's just fine should tell us all we need to know about their ultimate designs.
