We're the Only Ones Going to the Dogs Enough

Wish I knew how to remix this so the barks were replaced with bangs...and maybe a barrage at the end...

Back Story

I saw an old western a while back where the town was condemning a man who shot a bad guy in the back because it wasn't a "fair fight." [More]

Of course, these were scripted, directed and acted by the same people who advocated shooting to wound, shooting guns out of hands, and putting an overhand throwing wrist spin on every pull of the trigger.

Besides, singing cowboys looked silly enough without eye and ear protection...

Me, if a bad guy is posing a lethal threat, I'd just as soon he doesn't even know I'm there, let alone armed, until he wakes up in Hell and someone tells him.

We're the Only Ones Globally Private Enough

While I have not had time to validate this, it does sound like an excellent opportunity for provoking a justifiable defensive gun use. [More]

These are them.

Nothing to See Here?

I contacted the Myrtle Beach Police yesterday about David Dennis and Chavonne Tere Moore because there have literally been no updates to the story. That's because they have not been located yet, the captain in charge of media inquiries tells me.

I consider that strange, that both of them can just drop out of sight like this, without a trace and without there being more to it than they are successfully eluding police. I hesitate to say more without anything concrete to go on, but my spider sense is tingling on this one.

‘Highly valued’ gun rights sponsor offers authorities gun disabling technology

The ones getting the real benefit from a perceived relationship with those protecting the right to keep and bear arms appear to be those who are attempting to override a core purpose of that right, as a last-resort deterrent against “rulers” who have slipped their Constitutional chains and gone rogue. [More]
Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes a big turn-off coming from a company that's simultaneously trying to turn on those doing just fine under present circumstances.

From Your Lips to Allah's Ear

I dare ya.

Oh, and note to this guy: What an @$$hole you are.

Bugging Out

Bag essentials... [More]

I'm reminded of how I used to camp when I was single--very minimalist, and what I could pack in is what I had for the duration. Come marriage and children, and tent camping gradually gave way to cabin-dwelling, necessitating a van load of everything up to and including a tv/vcr with a good supply of Disney Singalong and Thomas the Tank Engine videos.

You know, essentials. For roughing it.

I sure hope I never need to bug out. How in the world will I ever be able to safely transport my Franklin Mint "Diana, the People's Princess" and "John Wayne, American Legend" collector plates...? (I don't need to explain tongue-in-cheek here, do I?)

The "Common Sense Gun Safety" Menace

A police officer clears a surrendered Jennings Nine 9mm handgun at a gun buyback event... [More]
What more graphic proof do we need that "buybacks" endanger the lives of those who know nothing about real gun safety (but who are lured into handling and transporting guns), and of everyone they come into range of? And the "authorities" know it, but do it anyway just to get publicity?

Because the quote link does not work,  I have pasted a screen capture below. Click on it to see it full-size.

The New Wave

The Liberty Movement is not some dying vestige of America’s past clinging to an antiquated philosophy. We are the new wave; the messengers of an ideal of freedom that in the grand scheme of history has been around for only a blink of an eye. Constitutional liberty IS the progress that humanity has been waiting for. We have only been led astray by those who would sell us on our own bondage. [More]
Yes, Arthur? You had something to add...?

Attack of the Authorized Journalists

In unprecedented criticism of the White House, 38 journalism groups have assailed the president's team for censoring media coverage, limiting access to top officials and overall “politically-driven suppression of the news.” [More]
And yet, seeing how no freedoms are left unsuppressed, they'll continue stumping for a Monopoly of Violence.
