Behind the Stage Prop

Jon Hamm has not previously been publicly linked to the lawsuit filed by a member of a fraternal social organization who said he was severely beaten, dragged by a hammer and had his pants lit on fire. The pledge claims Hamm participated “till the very end.” [More]
Between that and rehab issues, it  probably explains why he's all for controlling the rest of us.

I have never understood the willingness of some to tolerate being hazed. That's the kind of thing you stop before it starts, and in no uncertain terms.

The Pathway to Power

Esta tierra es tu tierra, esta tierra es mi tierra
desde California hasta la isla de Nueva York;
desde los bosques de secoyas hasta la Corriente del Golfo,
esta tierra se hizo para ti y para mí.

Community navigators gonna navigate.

Do you like that "ICE Out of CA" demand? That's because they consider it theirs, and after they've taken possession, who can blame them?

You don't think conquistadors will be interested in power-sharing, do you?

And where does power come from again?

Sounds Like Someone To Target for Defeat

Committee Chairman Senator Diaz de la Portilla... [More]

What, this guy?

Once a dog turns on humans, you have to get rid of it.

It doesn't matter if a Democrat wins his seat next time, because the greater danger is having the Republicans know they can pull this crap and get away with it -- supporting them in spite of betrayals only encourages more, and gives them no incentive to toe the line, out of self-preservation if not out of principle. If they don't want a Democrat to win, it's up to them to field a candidate worth supporting.

If I were a Florida gun owner, the only way I'd let this guy save himself is if he immediately apologized for the hold-up and assumed the role of vocal champion. That goes for Gardiner, too.

It Doesn't Say "Shall Not Be Infringed Except..."

“My understanding is that RMGO is actually preventing 30-round magazines from becoming legal. For them, it’s all or nothing.” [More]
Seeing as how patriots are just ignoring your stupid edicts, what's wrong with that?  Why should anyone with the power to say "No" compromise with a damned rapist?

The connections are so clear once you point them out -- why didn't we see this before?

So naturally this genius is a big monopoly of violence enthusiast.

An Over-Regulated Militia

Most people are still looking to NATO's military umbrella as their main guarantor of security. [More]
Big mistake.

Unfortunately, this gets in the way of the best guarantor for the security of a free State, and "most people" are ignorant enough to prefer things that way.

Unintended Consequences

Democrats have given Hispanics every entitlement government can give them. All they asked for in return is for Hispanics to support the Chicago Democrat machine candidates. But in a stunning, unprecedented act of rebellion, Chicago Hispanics voted for their own mayoral candidate, Jesus Garcia. Garcia’s showing surprised the once all-powerful Democrat machine, a machine that has ruled Chicago politics for over eighty years. [More]
That still doesn't work out in favor of gun owners, but at least we get to see some Prozis eating their own.

ATF classification compromise to redefine sporting use, ban certain ammo imports

ATF, in conjunction with certain members of Congress and lobbying interests, is working at “tweaking” its definition of the arbitrary “sporting use” term, insider sources tell Gun Rights Examiner. And with that will come a push to expand definitions to allow for further importation bans on certain types of presently legal ammunition. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner exclusive is the culmination of something I've been working on for the past week with insiders who have excellent track records as reliable sources. There is more, but I can't get more specific without unnecessarily compromising some people. Hopefully, this will push others to use their resources to confirm and elaborate.

It will be interesting to see if any attempts are made to suppress Mike.

If Wishes Were Fishes We'd All Cast Nets

Responsible Americans don't gamble the survival of the USA on some happy-meal, wish-upon-a-star theory that those overwhelming percentages will somehow magically reverse themselves if only Republicans "reach out" better ... What kind of delusional a-wipes bet not only their entire farm but YOURS and all their fellow citizens' entire farms on that sort of fairy tale thinking? [More]
This comment under yesterday's GRE column is an important standalone piece worthy of attention and sharing, as are so many of frequent comment poster Carlos Perdue's other observations. I wish he'd start a blog or some such so his posts would get more exposure instead of being buried in discussion threads.
