The thought strikes, if the energy wealth transfer cabal burns enough "denier" heretics at the stake, they just may raise that carbon footprint enough to cause a chart spike and make their case for real... [More]

What is with these guys? Would somebody please explain to me why these climate change asshats are so rabid about all climate variations being anthropogenic? What do they get out of it? Where is their payoff? Do they really want to return to a pre-industrial revolution technology and population level?

Explanation is simple. Environmental regulation is one of the ways govrnments take stuff you “own.” You still “own” it, but you don’t “control” it, because it is uner the complete control of other people. It’s like “owning” a building on the Historic Register. You csn live it in (maybe) and you have to pay taxes on it. But when it’s time to repair the rotting fence, you have to wait until some bureaucrat approves (more likely, countermands) your choice of material and color. You end up with what he wanted, not you. Environmental regs are the same. You want to put a pleasure-boat pier on your waterfront property? Some bureaucrat just fainted at the suggestion. Your factory emits barely detectable levels of <a href="http://dailycaller.com/2016/05/12/epas-new-methane-rule-wont-slow-global-warming-and-will-increase-co2-emissions/“>chemical X</a>? You get shut down, while your competitor, who greased the appropriate palms, gets a variance, or maybe even subsidies! In short, it’s just another scam that allows the government to reward its cronies and destroy its rivals.
