Think How Much Time We'd Save if Juries Could Do This

Van Doninck is convinced the eagle was poisoned after eating the remains of wildlife killed with lead ammunition. [More]
And after jumping to such a conclusion based on agendized inference that ignores other potential sources, rather than on actual evidence, it's probably also safe to say it was Russian lead ammunition.

Good thing it wasn't a wind turbine, huh?

I just realized- Buzzards must have a built in immunity from lead poisoning. I don't recall ever hearing of a single case of one dying as a result of eating a gut pile, or from eating a sick cow that has been dispatched by a rancher (like me) using leaded ammunition.

The California Condor is a vulture (buzzard), and the studies linking them to ingested lead poisoning are infamous.

Perhaps. My point was that there seems to be precious little concern from the politically correct crowd for the common Turkey Vulture (which IMHO seems to perform a far more beneficial service to mankind than does the politically correct crowd). I believe this is because Turkey Vultures aren't exactly warm and cuddly.

BTW, the studies linking Condor health to ingestion of lead are suspect. As are the diesel particulate studies done by the California Air Resources Board, which were conducted by a guy who lied about his PhD (it came from an online diploma mill, not U.C. Davis).
