We're the Only Ones with a Big 'But' Enough

I fully support and defend our right to keep and bear arms as written by our Founding Fathers of the Constitution reinforced in the Second Amendment. [More]
Except for that "shall not be infringed" part. I find that "especially troublesome and dangerous for protests that espouse hatred."

"This proposed legislation of SB24 is an attack on the safety of law enforcement." Really? One could equally argue that the sheriff's position is an attack on the safety of all that he and his deputies encounter.

"Let our Police Officers and Deputy Sheriff’s properly do their jobs to keep concealed handguns from persons whose backgrounds include court convictions of previous violent actions where a victim has been assaulted and/or attacked." Those persons would be felons in possession of a firearm, which is prohibited by Federal law. However, for many, that Federal law in addition to current state law does not stop that behavior, but does appear to provide an illusion of safety for that sheriff. It would be safer for the sheriff and his deputies to treat all they encounter as armed until shown otherwise.

According the the good Sheriff, everyone is presumed to be a criminal until the nice policeman determines he is not... and Free Men tolerate with this.
