We're the Only Ones Throwing Under the Bus Enough

“The actions in question go against who we are in the department, how we train and the expectations we have for our officers,” Harteau said. “These were the actions and judgment of one individual.” [More]
Way to cover for the vibrancy "standards."

I must agree with the Chief. This seems to be another cop scared out of his wits with a hair trigger finger. Police work is not a place for those with poor judgment or even a hint of cowardice, and who shoot at the slightest provocation. The number 1 rule of policing should be that the citizen goes home safe, then the officer comes next, so that preferably they both go home safe.

I didn't see anywhere in the linked piece, where ANYONE was calling for the ARREST and PROSECUTION of the killer.

Anyone? Anyone?

The Vast Majority is sounding off again.

Time was when cops patrolled alone and back up was far away. If it came to a fight it was man against man, and a firearm was not drawn without good reason. I don't know if it is the video game generation or just a lack of what my WWII veteran gym teacher called "intestinal fortitude" but there are a lot of cops out there who are too nervous and fearful to have a badge. Whatever happened to "One Riot, One Ranger"? My prediction is this cop will get a pass because "Islamophobia." Hope I'm wrong!

1) This kind of crap really makes me afraid of the police to the point that I would hesitate to call 911 until whatever is happening is all over with but the shouting, and maybe not then. Mr. Mossberg will protect and serve for the time of immediate need.
2) The Dirt People fear the pigs. They got what they want.
3) The fact that Noor refuses to speak without a lawyer is pretty much an indication that he f-ked up big time. For a Mundane I would never make such an assumption, but for the Only Ones they have the Garrity rights to speak without their words being used against them and talk to a shyster and union rep before they say anything. If the lawyers and the union can't come up with a story that works it must be pretty egregious.
4) No matter how bad they f-k up the cops alsays walk. Why should this be any different?
