I have no doubts that Dana can more than take care of any real threats to her or her family. However, not every home is easily defensible due to the presence of trees, shrubs, and hilly terrain. This move may be simply to a home that is more easily hardened and difficult to breech. I could also imagine that she might want a safe room to protect her children until the LEOs arrive to bag and tag the invaders. If a safe room wasn't planned for when a house was originally designed, it may not be feasible to add one later. There are plenty of reasons for a move that have nothing to do with fearing the online trolls.
