Self-Defense is Racist!

“The reason I call it murder insurance is because if you look at the way this is marketed, it’s really sold in the context of ‘There’s a threat around every corner, dear mostly-white NRA member,’ and that threat is either a black man or a brown man or some other kind of person of color,” said Guns Down director Igor Volsky. And good or bad have nothing to do with it, right, Igor?

UPDATE: This may be an opportunity to make lemonade out of lemons:

Were I GZ, I'd be looking into the feasibility of a libel complaint. Not only do AstroTurfers have deep pockets, I know I'd get a kick out of seeing a court-ordered retraction and apology (and an even bigger kick out of a refusal).

"Stand Your Ground" had nothing to do with George Zimmerman's case. He defended himself while Trayvon Martin had him pinned to the ground by sitting on his chest, while trying to murder him by beating his head against concrete, which is why the jury found Zimmerman not guilty.
The political left continues to milk identity politics for everything that they can get out of it.

It is, has been, and will continue to be, open season for lying about GZ.

GZ had a far better case against NBC and their doctored recording, and the courts already ****** him on it.

It appears that Volksy likes to use propaganda from the Violence Policy Center and the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence:

"Now is the time for progressives to push further and make the case that fewer guns will lead to safer communities." -Volsky

Volsky and his fellow progressives should feel free to become disarmed and stay disarmed so that they will feel safer.
